The most important driving factor for employee engagement is the manager employee relationship and it tied the employees' satisfaction with their job role and organization. How the communication is done and what communicate to the employee by the manager matters this and it will give a strong sense of self respect , ownership and loyalty to the employee even they may not have the control on the final product, outcome or decision.Another major factor is career development opportunities for the employees since they expect a progress in their career based on their investment of time, money and effort to the organization (Brown, et al., 2015).This can be achieved by providing formal learning programs with the opportunity to practice those skills and knowledge on the job.
Flexibility of employees's hours at work also contribute to the employee engagement.Employees can be given a flexible work hours or to work away from the office ,stating work or finishing off late and more.By creating a learning culture ,employees are encouraging to keep on learning and acquiring new knowledge since they are not only like to make profits and sales ,but to improve themselves. This will give a comparative advantage to the organization with talented workforce while improving the employee engagement.
Communication also can be identified as a powerful tool in employee engagement since miscommunication among the employee and the manager makes problems within the organization. This can be achieved by introducing a regular meetings and those employees should be able to discuss their views on current issues in the department or organization.Inspiring employees also play a major role in employee engagement. When the people have the motivation or inspiration, they actively solve problems and create faster ways to achieve tasks (Dávila and Ramírez, 2014)
